This noble green tea with needle-shaped, emerald green leaves is a Sencha Asamushi.
The tender leaves are briefly treated with hot steam.
This interrupts the oxidation process and leaves the leaves retaining their glossy, dark green colour.
The bright cup colour and the fine, grassy taste are a temptation for all the senses.
