A very aromatic tea with a pleasantly grassy-tart note. Its green, large-leaved leaves are typical of this variety. Bancha means something like “ordinary tea” and is often drunk in Japan as an everyday tea. This Bancha comes from the prefecture of Kagoshima, on the southernmost of the four main islands of Japan, Kyushu.
